A representation of the interconnectedness of all humans in society through pattern and movement. Noetica is composed of two stainless-steel kinetic structures containing 144 intersecting cubes. 

Each sculpture moves with surprisingly sinuous motion, activated by humans moving the smaller structure. Hydraulic linkages translate that movement to the larger structure, activating fire as a result of the motion.

Effects

Noetica's main effect is its participant-activated hydraulic movement. Four propane poofers sit on the larger structure, lighting and accentuating the movement of the cubes.
